Saltpeter Bomb – Community Bombs

Every other Sunday, the sound of Puerto Rican Bomba echoes through Ocean Park as Bomba Salitre brings the community together at Parque del Último Trolley. More than a performance, this is a cultural gathering—an open, family-friendly batey where dancers, singers, and drummers of all ages and backgrounds connect through rhythm and heritage.

Bomba Salitre has become a safe space for cultural exploration and personal growth. Children, youth, and adults are welcomed to participate, honor their Afro-Caribbean identity, and celebrate Puerto Rico’s living traditions.
