José Velázquez is a passionate advocate for Puerto Rican identity and the founder of EnMiPatioPR, an innovative platform that weaves together history, culture, and tourism to showcase the soul of Puerto Rico both locally and internationally. With a clear vision to decentralize tourism narratives and empower community voices, José has established himself as a key figure in promoting authentic, sustainable, and deeply cultural experiences.

His leadership has led him to participate in strategic spaces such as the Tourism Entrepreneurship Forum at the Interamerican University of Puerto Rico – San Germán Campus, and to collaborate with marketing agencies and the Puerto Rico Tourism Company on campaigns focused on promoting the island’s culinary attractions, fairs, excursions, and local lodging options.

As a photographer, videographer, and content creator, José not only documents but visually interprets Puerto Rico’s cultural value with a fresh and committed perspective. Through his lens, he captures the essence of who we are and who we strive to become—transforming every image and video into an act of cultural preservation and creative resistance.

In 2022, he participated in the NEXT: Puerto Rico Tourism Summit, one of the island’s most significant tourism events organized by the Puerto Rico Tourism Company. His contribution to the Influencer Marketing panel reaffirmed his commitment to developing digital strategies that humanize tourism marketing and strengthen the visitor economy through an inclusive and transformative approach.

Through EnMiPatioPR, José continues to build meaningful connections between communities, emerging talents, and global audiences, driven by a strong purpose: to ensure that Puerto Rican culture is not only celebrated, but respected, lived, and projected with dignity.
